I'm a complete self confessed nail varnish junkie, I have hundreds of them. One of my ultimate favourite brands has got to be Essie. The finishing look is just beautiful. Unfortunately, I find that with Essie to get the beautiful finishing look that is so lusted after, you have to coat on plenty of layers. If in a rush, I wouldn't recommend, but if you have time and you want beautiful nails. Essie is the brand for you. As strange as it may sound, I love the bottles they come in. They are so simplistic and pretty and make my nail varnish rack look pretty!
The colour I'm going to review today is called 'Not Just a Pretty Face' and it is a nude, light pink colour as you can see. ^
I was torn on what colour to paint my nails today, as obviously it being a confusing state of half summer, half spring, I wasn't sure whether I'm allowed to jump into the corals and teals just yet. So i'm putting it off another few weeks until I go to Turkey. This colour is perfect and goes with near enough every colour so you can leave it on a few weeks without worrying about clashing or mismatching. My nails are quite thin so aren't as easy to paint as others or as fake nails may be. But I think that I've done an okay job!
One thing to look out for when using any baby pink/neutral coloured nail varnishes, is skin tone. Some light colours can completely wash a person out unless paired with the right jewellery!
But I highly recommend this nail varnish by Essie. It is lovely and lasts for quite a long time, not to mention looks very pretty with my rose gold and black watch, Bonus!
What is your favourite nail varnish for this time of year? Do you like Essie?
xx
